Advance of the Russian cryonics - July 2009

Cryonics is an area difficult for perception. From technical point of view every stage of cryonics is a difficult one: from the idea to the process of perfusion, from the techniques of proper cooling of the bodies to unique equipment production. No wonder that cryonics in Russia develops slowly.

Nevertheless, 10 persons were cryoprotected within the three-year period of The Cryorus company existence. Out of our "cryopatients " 4 have chosen to cryoprotect their brains, 1 - the head and 5 clients are preserved in liquid nitrogen integrally. Among them - three men and seven women. The cryopatients as of the date of death ranged in age from 23 to 82 years.
Geographically we have cryopatients from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Saratov. Kemerovo, Tallinn (Estonia). Three dewars were constructed for the bodies storage (each for one patient) and the fourth is coming soon- a big one, approximately for six patients.
Also the company has mastered the cryoprotector perfusion process based on the know-how developed by the Cryonics Institute, reliable contacts with top health care professionals are maintained.
Preparatory work for a string of scientific experiment in cryonics is underway.
Complimentary to the humans, a dog, a cat and two birds were cryoprotected. The dog and the cat were subjected to perfusion, so we may say that basic technique for the animal cryoprotection has been at large mastered in Russia
During this period renovations were carried out in the cryostorage block and in the neighboring premises, two dry ice body storage cryostats were installed and a site in the hangar is being prepared for the big dewar construction.
We have signed 25 contracts for the cryoprotection of the people that take cryonics seriously, 32 contracts for the DNA storage.
