Clarification regarding the situation with the cryonization of M. A. Voronin.

Today LifeNews published a news item with the catchy title "Wife stole her husband's corpse, not allowing it to be frozen".

In explanation of the situation, the CryoRus company reports that Olga Vasilyevna Moiseeva (wife of Mikhail Voronin) and the staff of the morgue at the Central Clinical Hospital of Civil Aviation violated the provisions of the law of the Federal Law "On burial and funeral affairs" on dignified treatment of the body. The basis of dignified treatment of the body, according to this law, is the observance of the will of the person himself.

Citizen Mikhail Alexandrovich Voronin, who lived in the village of Bolshiye Vyazemy, expressed his wish to have his head or brain cryonized after death (cryonization is an experimental scientific procedure of cooling the body to low temperatures). He confirmed this fact by his will, made in front of witnesses, and additionally made a video recording of his will. His will is also confirmed by the contract concluded with us, which he paid for at his own expense.

Mikhail Voronin's wife Olga Moiseeva knew about her husband's wish and deliberately misled CryoRus by stating that she respected her husband's will. In fact, she probably colluded with the morgue workers, who, in violation of M. A. Voronin's will and the laws of the Russian Federation, gave the body of M. A. Voronin to O. V. Moiseeva. V. Moiseeva the body of M. A. Voronin, while the legal owner of the body is considered to be the one who was authorized by the deceased to carry out the will, in this case - CryoRus LLC. Voronina plans to bury or cremate the body, thus violating the will of her deceased husband and preventing the fulfillment of the legal contract between M. A. Voronin and CryoRus.

The expression of the will of Mikhail Vronin

The main document regulating this situation is the Federal Law of the Russian Federation "On Burial and Funeral Service". Article 5 of this law "Will of the person on the dignified treatment of his body after death" says that "Actions on the dignified treatment of the body of the deceased should be carried out in full accordance with the will of the deceased". Will, in particular, speaks "about consent or non-consent to the removal of organs and (or) tissues from his body". M. A. Voronin made an expression of will that his brain be preserved with the help of cryonics. This norm is additionally enshrined in the law "On burial and funeral services in the city of Moscow", which states: "Moscow, as a subject of the Russian Federation, guarantees the fulfillment of the legal will of a person about the treatment of his body after death."

M. A. Voronin instructed CryoRus LLC to organize activities related to the removal and cryonization of his brain and the burial of the remains. This means that the "funeral organizer" is the head of CryoRus LLC, General Director Udalova V. V. According to the federal and Moscow laws, relatives can organize the burial only if CryoRus LLC refuses to perform this function. The abduction of the body from the morgue is illegal. The release of O. V. Moiseeva's body by the morgue staff is illegal. Obtaining a stamp certificate from the civil registry office (if any) and issuing it to O. V. Moiseeva is illegal.

Since the body was not released to the representatives of CryoRus LLC, Article 10 "Guarantees for burial" of the Law "On burial and funeral services in the city of Moscow" was also violated.

According to the source, who wished to be anonymous, the body was given to O. V. Moiseeva at 9. V. Moiseeva at 9:50 a.m. on September 12. However, the employees of CryoRus, who were waiting near the morgue at the same time, did not see O. V. Moiseeva among the visitors at that time and afterwards, nor did they see a car that could have picked up the body. This allows us to conclude that the information in the orderlies' log may be false.

Since the relatives of O. V. Moiseeva. V. Moiseyeva's relatives, according to the information we have, work in forensic medical examination institutions, it is possible that she transported the body to the morgue of one of them.

O. V. Moiseeva does not answer phone calls. V. Moiseeva does not answer phone calls, and the CryoRus employees have no possibility to get any information from her at the moment.

We believe that the law enforcement authorities should take measures as urgently as possible to transfer the body as soon as possible to the company "CryoRus" to preserve the brain of M. A. Voronin, according to his will.
