The 11th cryopatient in Russia

On the 5th of August 2009 our 11th patient was successfully cryopreserved,
and from now on his personality will be preserved in our storage building. His
name is Johan O., he was a scientist
(rheologist) and he died of a cardiac arrest at the age of 77.
The first time when his sun contacted us was in 2006. At that time he was
already in a hospital in moderately bad condition. He died on the 24th
of July 2009. His son immediately contacted us.

It was obvious that the best strategy in that case was the instant cooling
of the body down to subzero temperature. And so it was done. In less than 24
hours the body was placed in a freezer at -30С.

After a lengthy process of documents preparation the body of Mr. O
finally arrived in Moscow. Right now he is stored at -79С.
We hope to get some additional information about the life history of Mr. O
and to publish it.

This is the second KrioRus patient from EU. The first one was
cryoprotected in early February 2009. That was a woman from Tallinn
(Estonia).
